We stand completely behind the health and genetic integrity of every kitten we raise. Our guarantee is not fine print. It is a genuine commitment from Dawn to you and to your Bengal.
Every kitten is guaranteed against hereditary genetic conditions for 18 months from the date of birth. If a licensed veterinarian diagnoses a hereditary genetic defect within that window, Dawn will work with you directly to make it right. This may include a replacement kitten or a partial refund, depending on the circumstances. We will never leave you without support.
Before going home, every kitten receives a full veterinary examination by our licensed vet. This exam checks overall health, organ development, musculoskeletal structure, eyes, ears, teeth, and coat condition. You receive the signed certificate at pickup. There are no surprises.
All core vaccines are completed at the appropriate age-based schedule before your kitten leaves for their new home. Vaccination records are documented and provided at pickup. We follow AAFP feline vaccination guidelines to ensure your kitten is properly protected.
The guarantee applies to hereditary and genetic conditions only. It requires that your kitten receives a veterinary exam by a licensed vet within 72 hours of going home. The guarantee does not cover illness or injury resulting from accidents, exposure to other animals, improper care, or failure to follow veterinary recommendations. All conditions are clearly stated in the adoption contract.
Within 72 hours of taking your kitten home, have them examined by your own vet. If a pre-existing condition is found that was not disclosed, contact Dawn immediately. We take this very seriously and address every concern promptly and fairly.
Life is unpredictable. If circumstances change and you are truly unable to keep your Bengal, Shady Spots Cat Ranch will always help you find them a safe and loving new home.
We do not want any Bengal we raised to ever end up in a shelter or with an unsuitable owner. This is not a conditional offer. It applies for the life of your cat, no questions asked.
We ask only that you contact Dawn before rehoming so we can help coordinate a proper transition. We have a network of vetted Bengal families and will work to find the right match.
