Bringing a Bengal home from Shady Spots is a clear, caring, five-step journey. Dawn is with you every step of the way.
Start by exploring our currently available kittens and upcoming litters. Each kitten has a full profile with multiple photos, detailed personality notes, parent information, and pricing. Take your time — choosing a Bengal is a 15 to 20 year commitment and we want you to feel genuinely excited about your match.
When you find a kitten (or litter) that interests you, send Dawn a message through the inquiry form or contact her directly. Tell her a little about your household, your lifestyle, and what you're looking for. Dawn personally responds to every inquiry and usually replies within 24 hours. She will answer your questions honestly and thoroughly.
Before any commitment, Dawn invites you to a virtual visit via video call. You will meet the kitten in real time, see their personality, watch them interact with their environment, and ask any questions. This is one of the most important steps and Dawn truly enjoys these calls. Many families say the virtual visit is what made them completely confident in their choice.
Once you have decided on your kitten, a deposit is required to reserve them and remove them from availability. The deposit is applied toward the total price of your kitten. At this stage, Dawn will also send you the adoption contract, which outlines the health guarantee, care requirements, and our safe-return policy. Everything is transparent and in writing.
Contact Dawn directly for current deposit amounts and payment options. All terms are clearly outlined in the adoption contract before you sign.
At 12 weeks of age your kitten is fully weaned, litter trained, vaccinated, and vet-checked. You come to Silver Springs, NV to pick up your new family member — or we coordinate transport options for families out of state. Dawn sends your kitten home with a complete starter kit and remains available to support you for life. This is not the end of the relationship. It is the beginning.
A signed veterinary health exam certificate completed before your kitten goes home.
Core vaccines completed at the appropriate age, documented and ready for your vet.
TICA registration documentation confirming your Bengal's pedigree and bloodlines.
Samples of the exact food your kitten has been eating to ease the transition home.
An item carrying the familiar scents of their litter and home to help them settle in.
Written guidance on diet, enrichment, litter, and the first weeks in your home.
Browse our available kittens or send Dawn a message. She would love to hear from you and answer any questions you have before you commit to anything.
